Grapes are Sour
Once a hungry fox was searching for food in the forest. After a while, he came to a vineyard. He was very tempted at the sight of the grapes. But the graphs were hanging very high beyond his reach.
But his temptation could not refrain him from having the juicy ripe
grapes. He thought to himself “The grapes seem to be juicy and sweet. I
have to get some of the grapes.” His mouth watered at the sight of the
ripe and juicy grapes.
He thought for a while how to reach the hanging grapes. He was so
confident that he would be in a position to reach the grapes easily and
have them to his heart’s content. In fact, he was overjoyed at that
moment. Then he started jumping up to reach the grapes.
But the grapes were hanging high up. Again and again, he jumped to catch the nearest bunch of grapes but missed. He attempted several times to reach the juicy grapes but all his attempts were in vain. He failed to get the ripe and juicy grapes.
At last, he was exhausted and thought that it would be futile for him to try any longer. So, he went away and consoled himself saying that the grapes were sour and he did not like to have them.
